Astronomical Museum was created by Resolution 9, year 2003, by
the Director of the Observatory and Resolution 1046/03, by the
Rector of the University. The Museum exhibits as a central
piece the main building itself, which hosts the Institution
and that has been declared as a National Monument in 1995. It
also exhibits different expositions related to its history,
activity, and influence. These expositions involve materials
that are closely related with the scientific and symbolic
development of Argentina. The National Observatory, today put
in value by the Museum, has been a beacon for this development,
especially during the end of XIXth century and the beginnings of
the XXth. The multifacetic set of related objects wich the
Museum conserves can be consulted under COLLECTIONS
